Social Impact
Our Events and Philanthropy Team identifies the needs of our community and creates opportunities for students to be involved in them. With these opportunities, students gain awareness of important social causes and make a positive impact on their community.
Palm Beach Food Bank
AMA, in the collaboration with Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business has established a tight-knit connection with the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Food insecurity is a prevalent issue in our county, and we are determined to help fight food insecurity in our community. In the spring semester, AMA will participate in the annual “Pack to Give Back” day, where students donate their time to pack bulk foods for food insecure families throughout our county.
Florida Breast Cancer Foundation
For the month of October, we will be partnering with the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation to not only reduce our carbon footprint amongst each other on campus, but within the community. Students will be swapping clothes with each other to reduce unnecessary shopping, but their parents and families can donate clothing and household items to the foundation, which will be picked up to support families in need. This allows them to focus on caring for their loved ones during the cancer battle.
4ocean beach cleanup
We will be hosting a beach clean-up in collaboration with 4Ocean to not only give back to our community, but to help protect our environment. Students will come together to pick up litter along the shoreline, helping reduce pollution and preserve the natural beauty of our beaches. This initiative allows us to make a meaningful impact on the place we call home while encouraging sustainable habits that benefit both our campus and the greater Boca Raton community.
